MAI Concept store

MAI Conceptstore redefines the concept-store experience in Amsterdam (De Pijp) by bringing together hair care, coffee culture and a carefully curated retail selection under one roof. More than a hair salon, it's a calm and creative place where visitors can slow down, recharge and enjoy a seamless experience of a haircut, coffee and shopping.

QUESTION

For MAI Conceptstore we developed and produced a complete content series to strengthen the brand experience online. We created a hero/promo video for the website in which concept, atmosphere and service come together in one powerful story. In addition, we produced eight social videos, each with its own focus, from coffee and matcha to the headspa experience and a full walkthrough of the store, complemented by atmosphere and detail shots.

Besides the video production, we also handled photography on set, so all content matched visually. The result: a consistent and strong content set for both website and social media.

APPROACH

We started with a strategic kick-off to sharpen the goals, target audience, channels, style and deliverables. Based on that, we developed the concept and formats for the hero/promo video and eight social videos (including coffee, matcha, the headspa experience and a walkthrough). We translated this into a clear shot list and a tight schedule, including props and timing per segment.

In pre-production we assembled the team (cameraman, DOP, producer and photographer) and got everything set-ready with call sheets and a clear set-up plan. During the shoot day we captured the hero, all social formats and the photography in a single production, so everything stayed visually consistent.

After that we handled the complete post-production: edit, sound design, colour correction and per-channel exports. We also selected and edited the photography. The result: a complete and consistent content set, ready for website and social media. And as a nice bonus: we got to taste everything on set - the matcha and coffee were really delicious.
