Veerstichting

Veerstichting has been connecting young, ambitious students and those that shape society since 1979. Yearly, they host a symposium, for which students dedicate a year of their lives organizing it during a sabbatical. Its purpose is to connect people and segments and provide the opportunity to discuss certain relevant and societal themes and topics. The event is often joined by the crème de la crème of entrepreneurs, politicians and even royalty (such as princess Beatrix) have joined the event.

QUESTION

To showcase what they can do as a foundation and to illustrate the impact of the annual event they organise, Veerstichting wanted an upgrade of their current promotional video. They were looking for a flashier look & feel.

APPROACH

We created a script for the video with the students; they provided lots of input and we filtered and selected until we reached the core of their message. We decided to use previously shot footage of previous events to visualize the metaphors that we decided to highlight. To do so, we dug through our entire archive of Veerstichting videos and looked for shots that matched the words we wanted to emphasize best. We also went on a search for the most fitting music.

RESULT

A strong and characteristic video that the board of Veerstichting definitely approved of. The video can help put Veerstichting on the map thanks to its powerful storytelling and lots of event footage.
