L.S.V. Minerva is the largest student association in the Dutch city Leiden. It was founded in 1814 and is housed in the middle of the city centre. The association has about 2.400 members and 165 corps houses.
For their annual event, for which they have relied on us for their video content for years, Minerva decided to go with the theme ‘Jachtdag’ (Hunting Day). They wanted a concept video that fit the story that they constructed for the event. Since the event was organized by students, a limited budget was available.
We brainstormed on how to visualize the unique concept and decided we would put our drone to work. We envisioned using the drone to create shots that give the impression that you are a partridge flying around in the sky, which will eventually be shot by a participant of the Jachtdag. To avoid rising costs, Minerva picked the location themselves, of which they did an amazing job. We helped them with the styling of the shoot, which fitted the theme perfectly. We enjoy cooking up ideas with them and helped them bring this concept to life.
